Dear Valued Customers,
We are writing to inform you about an ongoing service disruption affecting your hosting accounts and websites. We understand the frustration this downtime causes, and we want to provide you with full transparency regarding the situation.
What is happening? A highly critical, global security vulnerability (CVE-2026-41940) has been discovered in the cPanel/WHM control panel software. This is an industry-wide crisis affecting over 1.5 million servers worldwide. With a severity score of 9.8 out of 10, this vulnerability allows unauthorized access to servers.
Why are your services currently offline? Your security and data integrity are our highest priorities. As a proactive and strictly preventative measure, our data center partners have temporarily taken the affected servers offline. This shutdown was intentionally executed to protect your data from being compromised by hackers.
What are we doing to fix this? Our upstream technical teams are working around the clock on a comprehensive recovery process:
-
Securing Systems: Blocking any potential unauthorized access points.
-
Applying Patches: Rebuilding server environments (OS reloading) to ensure they are 100% clean and fully patched against this exploit.
-
Safe Restoration: Slowly and securely bringing services back online in a controlled manner.
What should you do? At this moment, no action is required from your end. Please hold off on making changes or attempting to log in until we announce that the servers are fully stabilized. Due to the massive volume of inquiries globally, our support response times are currently delayed, as our entire focus is on technical recovery.
Once the services are fully restored, we highly recommend that you change your cPanel, FTP, and email passwords as a standard security practice.
We sincerely apologize for this major inconvenience. This is a global situation affecting the entire hosting industry, but please be assured that we are doing everything in our power to get your websites back online safely and securely.
Thank you for your patience, trust, and understanding during this critical time.
Best Regards,
The Support Team Pakish Group
