Shared, business, and reseller accounts on Pakish have resource limits to keep servers stable and fair for all customers. Pakish uses CloudLinux with LVE limits for CPU, memory, entry processes, and I/O.

What you may see

  • 508 errors when entry processes reach the limit.
  • Slower pages when CPU or I/O limits are reached.
  • 500 or 503 errors when memory or process limits are exceeded.

Common causes

  • Outdated or heavy plugins and themes (especially WordPress).
  • Aggressive cron jobs or backup plugins.
  • Traffic spikes or excessive bot crawls.
  • Poorly coded scripts causing loops.

Check usage in cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Open CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage or Resource Usage.
  3. Identify which limit is spiking and when.

Steps to reduce usage

  1. Update CMS, plugins, and themes; remove unused plugins.
  2. Enable caching (for example LiteSpeed Cache where available).
  3. Optimize or reduce heavy backup and scan plugins.
  4. Review cron jobs and reduce frequency where safe.
  5. Use a current PHP version via cPanel Select PHP Version (MultiPHP).
  6. Upgrade your plan or move to VPS if usage stays high after optimization.

Create a backup before major changes. Exact limits depend on your hosting plan.
